| Upgrade Instructions for those using v2.0 and earlier
All previous versions of TotalQuery up to v2.0 used a different type of installation tool, which
is not compatible with the one used by version 2.5.
What this means is that TotalQuery v2.5 will not automatically uninstall any previous version. You will
need to unstall the version yourself using the Remove program tool built into Microsoft Windows. Details
on how to do this is described below.
Finally use the following information to copy your existing user connections into TotalQuery v2.5.
Windows Vista:
- Begin by making sure that all hidden folders are visible.
In Control Panel open the Folder Settings application and select the View tab. Search
for the item "Show hidden files and folders" and select it. Now click OK to close the properties window
- In Windows Explorer search for the folder c:\users\[acct]\AppData\Local\CoderTools
- Open the subfolder labelled TotalQuery. Select and copy the file labelled AppSettings.xml
- Go back to the parent CoderTools folder and open the one named TotalQuery Pro
- Paste the AppSettings.xml file into this folder selecting to overwrite the existing file
